Hello fellow stagers,
I wanted to share what I have been up to so far this month for "Home Staging Awareness Month" and I would really like to hear what others have been doing if you would like to share.
So far this month, I have participated in a fundraiser for a very worthy cause with one of my realtors, I have participated in a local radio show to get the message out about home staging, I have staged a model home and have been given a key, so I have been directing all realtors I know and have met recently to view my work, I have participated in a tradeshow with my local Chamber of Commerce, and I have participated in an event/tradeshow at Scotiabank for a day of mortgage seminars, tradeshow, manicures and lunch for women realtors. I have been having a great deal of fun. I am also looking forward to two more Chamber events during the month and the Stage it Forward Round Table in Toronto later this month. So what have all of you been up to.?

The Portland Metro ASHSR Chapter is doing a service project at the Annie Ross House, a shelter for families in the Portland area. This week we will be organizing their large storage area in preparation for the holiday donations they will receive. The next phase of our project there will be to redecorate certain key rooms. We hope to obtain new flooring and paint from companies in Portland, then we will be donating furniture and accessories to give them more comfortable living spaces.

Gosh, it never occurred to me to do anything other than the SIF Round Table... and we have the Stagers List folks come thru with one of their fantabulous Expos. I kinda thought that was enough. It never occurred to me to do a service project! What a good idea! Next year! Maybe I'll offer a free consultation to a worthy seller.....not sure. Thanks for the notion!
HI! For RESA's Home Staging Awareness Month, I facilitated a SIF RT in my area and traveled to another RT to hear and meet different stagers. I participated in a service project in my community by staging a home for Junior Leagues "Artful Living Home Tour"-700 people attended this fundraising event for underserved children!! This week I am participating in a case study with Energized Sellers-one of the sponsors of our SIF Roundtable. We are staging a home together and I will blog about it on Energized Sellers site. I also greeted at a huge Realtor event where the Chief Economist for California Association of Realtors spoke. Its been a wonderful, very busy November!!!

Hi Karen! You've been doing some very exciting things this month for Staging Awareness Month. Good for you! How did the radio interview go? This month I've done a couple of consultations and am quoting on a vacant staging job this evening. Other than that, it's been more on the marketing side: updates for my website, sending out my latest newsletter and creating a brochure. Next Saturday I'm facilitating the Ontario round table meeting for area stagers. (I'm looking forward to seeing you by the way). I think next year we should have our local RESA chapter do something in honour of Staging Awareness Month. What do you think?
